The aforementioned car needs a repaint. A high quality repaint in this area is upwards of $10Gs. So add about another $10k to the price.

So your friend wants a perfect sub-$20K car with a free $10K paint job? That is totally based in sound logic and reason.

Those parts you pointed out were not all coated from the factory.

my first new car was a 1970 road runner with a 440 6 pack 4 speed dana 60 4:11 with that crazy lift off hood. 3200 out the door. i turned down a 69 left over camero Z28 cheap body with 4:11 gears,4-speed right down the road from the mopar dealer cause they wanted 3300 for it. saved a hundred bucks. my how things have changed. sold my 62 factory 409 impala for 800 bucks to buy the mopar.
