wow, I'm blown away... thanks for staying true to the pontiac name and building one mean 455!
Todd, I couldn't help notice you're a CAD designer.
... I'm in the same trade. Graduated in 09 as a Mechanical Technologist, and trying to build on a CAD career... Which CAD software programe do you use?
I started with AutoCAD in my earlier years, but when I got into the mechanical field, SolidWorks has been my main use.

Here are a couple of pics of my '79 LJ. I've had the car three years and actually tried to sell it last year but did not sell so I have decided to keep it.
It needs some body work and the vinyl top replaced but there is alot to start with plus is totally '70s with its color combo which is retro for me as that's the era I grew up  .

The car has auto climate control, tilt wheel and a factory Moon Roof. The 301 has a couple of issues and the plan is to swap in another mill this year so will be looking for a runner Pontiac, Olds 350 or 403 and possibly a 350 Buick as I swapped one into my '88 Electra wagon and am very happy with it.

Greg

First the all injun is bad arse. If you have some shots with the 535ci KRE Pontiac motor I would love to see them. I assume thats an aftermarket block? I remember reading that mag & article may have even bought it. Also the front clip is damn impressive.

Second that 529ci Cadillac is sharp. Makes mine look like a pile lol. Whats the build and goals on the 529?

The 529 is .060 bore, forged pistons, rods, 10.5:1 compression, first issue Bull dog heads, Cadco 600 H cam, MTS adjustable shaft rockers, MTS single plain dominator intake-1050 carb. Right now I have an HEI dist with Mallory guts. The HEI is gonna have to go in favor of an MSD box. I likes much advance and can be cantancerous to start. Has to be retarded, then advanced so it will keep running. "Flip-Omatic" turbo 400. (local builder) 3,000 stall converter, 9", locker 3:70's, 28"x9" slicks. Real close to making a pass, some loose ends to finish. Low 11's? Not for serious racing, fun once in awhile.

I was using your car as a screen saver about a year ago! It's one of my favorites and it's a great color too.
