I posted a few pics in the Galaxie thread and it got me thinking about how far a few of our projects have come.

Let's see some pictures of your long term projects. What you started with and what it looks like "finished" or substantially complete (they are never finished).

I'll start. Dad's Galaxie circa 1989.....

Ooooh, ooooh, I wanna play on this one!

Don’t have any really old pictures of The Juggernaut on this phone, but here’s more or less how she looks now:

And for Olds Cool, this was the day I brought it home:

It’s outward appearance belied some of the hidden issues tho...

The two together, sometime before I started the bodywork on Olds Cool:

And Olds Cool as of last summer:

As dramatic as they may be, the pictures still don’t convey the amount of time, effort and energy that have gone into each one.

Donovan,

You have to edit your post with some old pics of the Jug when you are on your computer. Thanks for contributing. They are both very cool cars.

Doug,

That's a really cool project. I need to binge your thread sometime soon. Thanks for contributing.

Keep em coming guys!

My 86 ' Regal when I got it with an oil burning 307, faded burgundy interior and rusted out doors, inner and outer rockers, decklid, rear floorboards and passenger fender.

I then started rust repairs and after doing the rear floors and rockers I replaced the doors, both fenders, header panel and decklid and also welded up the opera light holes and fender antenna hole. And installed the 15 x 8 ARE rims I had.

I then replaced the interior with NOS power seats, carpet and had material to make the upper door panels and cover a modified center armrest/storage
I also painted the Grant steering wheel I added it and blacked out the woodgrain.
I made the trio gauge set up for under the dash also.

And then I built a mild aluminum headed 355 SBC with a Howards roller cam and stainless headers that go into a modified factory replacement Olds dual exhaust.
I replaced the entire AC system and charged it and made brackets to mount the compressor on the passenger side with a V-belt set up.
And of coarse made a bunch of braided lines for it.

I also installed an aftermarket power sunroof and trimmed the inside to match the interior.

I also added Lauren Engineering hood scoop and ground effects, aftermarket fender flares and fender vents for a GNX, rear GN spoiler, hood tach, GbodyParts front spoiler and a new 87' black grill and decided to upgrade the rims to 17" x 8.5" all around with some 275/50 and 235/50.
And then spray canned the rest of the car black so I could drive it in one color until I get time to paint it,

And that's where it is at now, even drove it to work Today.
