Let's see your before and after

Start saving now. Those costs have really gone up. I’ve got a fortune invested in primers, paint, sandpapers (before and after painting)and buffing/polishing supplies.
That is why I decided just to go the rat rod route and repaint my trunk and hood with 2K single stage satin black.

It is, you took the vinyl top off.
I might have left the vinyl top temporarily but the rear window wasn't glued in anymore. Glad I pulled it off before the roof rotted off my car.

That is typical for vinyl top cars. You can see the factory just used Bondo on the seam instead of using lead like on normal hardtops.

2 years ago I bought this malibu .
Original sold in the Netherlands from the second owner.
The body needed some work but technally the car was o.k.
My wife wanted a car with a more bad *ss look.
So this time I listened to my wife and this is the how the project is at this point
