Lowering the wagon

So last night i measured the original height from floor to wheel well lip. Front - 24” rear 26”... removed the springs and compared them to the 2 other sets i have on the floor, and these were the shortest of all them 😑. Started with the belltech springs just to see what would happen and ya, as I figured, not even close, so out they came. I then put in the coils from a coupe I wrecked and when put back together, they raised the car an inch to 27”. So I’ll do some more research but for now I’ll put my original springs back in

if you want a spring you can cut to get the height you want you can use a rear spring from a Citation/Phoenix, moog 5659 or 565, and use an F body isolator that has a channel for a tangential end spring

I was also wondering about taking another stock spring from a wagon, putting it in the press and getting it to the desired height, then taking the torch and heat up the spring until the pressure drops on the press

That ruins the integrity of the spring. Why not try the moog 5609.....

Dana,
I know heating coil springs to lower a car is an old hot rodders trick, but I wouldn't advise it. Just as Steve said, it ruins the integrity of the spring.

5609? Or 5409? Looking at the moog chart the 5409 should be the one to go with.. and mate it up with some air shocks for when I'm pulling the trailer

I would use this set up to sit inside the springs before air shocks
