Grand prix style. Just use cardboard first to fit them how you want.

Jim,
Is that a mylar adhesive backed product you used on metal or plastic sheeting, or a carbon fiber sheet ? I like the way that looks. 8) I may have to adopt that look.

I've heard that when you remove the factory voltmeter when installing aftermarket gauges that the alternator won't work anymore. What is the easiest way to install a new one without changing to a 1 wire alternator?

All my factory gauges are gone and my alternator works fine.

Oh really? ok maybe the people I talked to misunderstood or just weren't familiar with it.

The alternator will work but will act more like a 1-wire alternator in which it will need to reach a certain rpm to excite and start charging. The charge light in the stock cluster acts as a load that does this at a lower rpm. You can add a load resister to the wiring out at the alternator to accomplish the same thing.

Sorry to hijack the thread but thanks guys, I wanted to be sure before I started taking mine apart. Ive never done anything like that before so I wanted to make sure there weren't any surprises.
