I too am curious as to what LED markers you used!

Thanks guys.

New fuel door is smaller, you can buy the kit at http://www.haganauto.com/fuel_doors_gas_lid_s/5.htm
I bought this one, the curve matches the curve of the body perfectly. http://www.haganauto.com/product_p/45sq.htm

I cannot for the life of me remember where I bought the marker lights, I have had them for over a year now. I'll have to dig out the receipts. Next time I am at the shop I'll snap some pics, We filled in the factory marker light holes in the lower quarters and cut the mount in for the led marker. Lens is about 3/4" x 4" with rounded corners the lens mounts from the inside and sticks out of the quarter. You sand it down flush with the body and glue it in after paint. My car will be white again so I went with the clear lens and the red LED's to light them up. They should be barely noticeable on the white until I turn them on.

For me taking the car apart was easy other then getting the back glass out without breaking it, that sucked! Putting it back together will be the hard part., I had all time time in the world before my daughter was born, limited free time now but I would not change that for the world. Shes awesome!

I think the modified fuel door is a cool idea. I know it's a street rod part/ innovation, but very cool just the same.
The LED marker lights sound right up my alley. I like that they're flush mounted and are finished off with the body. They're relatively small in dimension and unobtrusive.
I'm still anxious to see what they look like. Oh...and congratulations on the birth of your daughter.

Thanks for the link, man. Those are pretty sweet.

Hey there Jim,

Can you tell me what the wheel and tire sizes are that are on your chassis. Thing looks killer man, takes a lot of work to sweat the details.

Wheels are from a 87 Regal T-Type they were custom finished/powder coated. Tires are BF Goodwrench cant remember the tire sizes off the top of my head. Rims are 15"x7"

Thanks for posting the link to the lights. I seen them before and could never find them again. I liked the idea.

This is an awesome project! Keep up the great work

Cant believe i missed this build. Very nice work. i also thought of putting LED side markers on my elcamino, just cause those original just look so crappy and bulky. Keep up the great work
