Small update the tail gate has been modified, it rough metal needs finish and filler but the hard parts done. I will have a 3rd brake light in the pocket above the license plate and the plate will be lit with 2 small LED's

Starting the hood next adding the Turbo Regal hood bulge.

I see you went without the plastic insert, they were never my favorite either. I just filled a gate that I may use. I am undecided though.

I like the new license plate pocket compared to the original plastic junk. I was thinking of going that route....or filling the opening, as Jim pointed out.
I ended up keeping it as is..but I do have an extra tailgate that I may consider modifying. I suppose I can still choose between the two.

But like you said, having a choice between the 2. I have 2 gates, one filled and one with out. When the car is all in primer, I'll swap them around to see what one looks better, 😀

It's always good to have options. The metal pocket would have gone good with the narrowed bumper. I suppose it's still not too late.

Flush mount markers just about complete. Fitting the lens and another skim coat of filler needed around the lens then final sanding. Next the body shell goes into full primer, blocking, etc...
