Re: MEBE007's 80 Regal Build Thread

so its looking like my headers def will not work with my heads. made a bunch of phone calls and it looks like the hedman husler 65218 are my best option for my heads and manual clutch linkage. the guy at schoenfield said they will not fit with the manual linkage but they may but he couldnt tell me if they would even come close to working. so it looks like im a little further out on the build then i intended to be.

Got bored this evening. Started assembling the front of my motor. Not finished and my alt fan never showed. Looks nice though lol

Re: MEBE007's 80 Regal Build Thread

A company called cfr performance. Found them last year and got a hell of a deal. Seems like china stuff but does a great job and the price was right

Re: MEBE007's 80 Regal Build Thread

well i hope to finally start making some progress here soon. Tax return came in and got spent just as fast lol. But i got my flywheel, clutch kit, pilot bushing, carb kit, floats, trans mount, hedman husler 65218 headers, iceman lightweight crossmember and some other stuff ordered. Hoping to get my shifter and linkage kit ordered soon along with new carpet. Also still need my clutch fork and clutch fork boot as well as the inspection plate.

And finally got my pedals and linkages, zbar etc in. So i am happy to say i am finally getting closer.

Re: MEBE007's 80 Regal Build Thread

Its like Christmas in February lol. Got my Mcleod Super Street Pro Clutch kit today, along with my Gforce SFI flywheel, carb kit, water neck, flywheel and pressure plate bolts. only issue i think i may have is i screwed up and ordered a 45deg water neck instead of the 15deg. anyone have any input on this?

My hedman husler headers are supposed to be here on the 20th give or take and still waiting on my iceman crossmember, and clutch fork. End of the month i hope to have my hurst shifter ordered along with new carpet and headliner lol. I finally feel like i am on my way. Hope to get the rear end under the car this weekend.

Re: MEBE007's 80 Regal Build Thread

Thanks man. It always feels good to know someone else is digging what I'm doin. I'm super excited about her. Should be a blast when she's done. Hell I haven't driven her since late 2006 and that was with a very mild 355 and an auto with 2.73 rear gears. Hell the gear change alone should make her feel like a rocket ship lol. Like I said it feels so good to finally make some progress.
