Michigan wagon search

zeth, there were no 2dr g-body wagons made, all the ones that are running around are custom jobs (and usually pretty hacked ones at that...) I like the thought of the regal sedan as the base (as you can tell from my screen name and main project!), as most are the cutlass and malibu's...

I'm originally from MI as well, born in Grosse pointe, also lived just south of sault ste marie in the u.p., and left mi from rochester (just outside pontiac)... been both a yupper and a troll! 🙂

I'm just right in the middle of the troll state. And yeah I haven't ever seen a regal 2 door conversion yet. Always really liked the gnx cars and after I sold my Vega wagon it was like a week before I bought my 87 regal its a clean SC car just a roller but I bought it dirt cheap

The wagon rear frame rails are wider apart than the sedan and coupe, to clear the fuel tank and tire well. I'd suggest taking the whole wagon from Ribbed Roof. The windshield sits at a steeper angle, so you may ultimately have to section the roof and graft in the Buick A and B pillars. to match the door glass and windshield profile.

Here's how I invision doing it this way I will not have to fit any of the door channels. Would like to cut right down the body line below window then down the roof and fit the 2 roof lines together. Of course its not gunna be as easy as what it sounds like there will have to be chopping to the rear pillar to get the contour. Right. And even after that it has made me question if I just want to go to the junk yard and scalp a suburban or full size wagon roof for the ribs and hand build both b and c pillars. Seeing as it would be almost as much work to modify anything but a cutlass or century/regal wag.
