BUILD THREAD Midlife Crisis Monte Carlo Build

I'd say that's pretty good fitment for a great price. How far "up" on the lower control arm mount does it hit? How much would you have to grind off?

That is a great price for a 2" header and from the pictures they look to be well made, the driver's side motor mount angle cut is common for many Chevy headers even the SBC in my Regal needed that cut for clearance.
You will have to take some pictures of the fitment and the clearance issues (which seem minimal at this point) once you get everything mocked up and then test fit the starter and oil filter (I always use remote filter mount).
These should be a great alternative to the Hooker 2455's.

Will do! Your advise on the 2" led me to these 👍

Mock up your steering intermediate shaft when you get a chance. That's a problem area also. You should be fine with oil filter because it's location to the engine is the same no matter what kind of car it's on

Hey all, like I said previously the headers were hitting the lower A arm mounts and I really couldn't tell how much would need to be dented in or the mounts ground down as they wouldn't mount up to the heads fully with them hitting.

I decided to re route the one pipe that was interfering on each side instead of grinding the mounts and or denting the tubes. I picked up two 2" J bends from amazon but actually came from speedway. I made sure not to go overboard with the clearance but to give them enough as I also might wrap these.

I clearanced an old mount to get a better idea on how much to take off on the new one.

With a bit of work they fit nice now. The pipes I modified hang about 1/2" lower than the oil pan which should be just fine.

The stock steering shaft and proportioning valve also appear to have the clearance they need. The Jeep shaft should have more.

I am using 2" primary headers and maybe by using the 1 3/4" there would be less interference. I wish there was a manufacturer that I could sent these to so they could duplicate them for people doing BBC swaps.

No Michael, you cannot have a big block.

Man that looks so good in there.
