BUILD THREAD Midlife Crisis Monte Carlo Build

So this, fuel lines, brake lines, and the body goes back on?
Ugh, I sure hope so. Lots of mock up to do though as I do not want any surprises. As much as I enjoy doing this stuff I sometimes lose my motivation and the funds are usually not available. Not to mention being so meticulous drives me nuts! I wouldn't be surprised if I go over every inch of the chassis looking for things to fix or redo.

I could have reused the 2004R crossmember as the mounting points are the same as the TH400 but I decided on going with the Jegs TH400 crossmember. Its a nice piece at a nice price. No problems bolting it in and I didn't have to modify the stock one for dual exhaust.

I also used the Jegs th400 crossmember in my 86' Regal and my 200R4 fit without issues and my exhaust with headers fit well using this style header adapter..

If you are installing headers it would probably be a good time to mock those up also.

Thanks for this! I know there is a lot of info out there but just researching one thing can be so time consuming. I probably added to much info or pictures to this build but hopefully it helps someone. I don't know how many times I searched just for an image of something to see how it went together, was mounted, or even a part number for a bolt.

Your build thread has been very good. It has not been excessive @ all & provides good solid info that others can benefit from.
Seeing how others approach tasks can help those that are sitting on the bench trying to make decisions so this goes for everyone that starts & updates their build threads.

You need to put the bolt down through, otherwise you'll have interference with the clam shell.
