Nice work, and great photos. Just being curious here, but now that you've boxed the frame, are you going to run fuel lines and brake lines on the outside of the frame rails?

Hi, thanks! Yes, I am thinking of running them on the outside of the frame but once I get to that part I will know more. I have seen a few that were run the whole length outside and others that were ran partially outside. I think I have a few pictures from other peoples projects somewhere and if I can find them I will post them up.

Hi, not at all! Everyone just has there way of doing things. If it wasn't for this forum, YouTube, and the internet I am not sure I would have had the inspiration to do it. Thanks for your support!

Hi all, sorry for the delay. The rear end came back from Quick Performance. Very high quality work.

I had them leave the brackets on as the are so close to the factory ones but I did cut off the front mounted shock parts. Made a template to match the uncut side. The factory sway bar mounts will be used as well.

I also plan to run spherical joints in the rear end so the old ones had to go.

I ordered the axles from Quick Performance after I received the rear end back. I was unsure how I was going to proceed at the time as far as the rear brakes. The plan is to use the 98-04 blazer rear caliper brackets so I had to figure out how to use them with the GM/Ford housing ends. Max at Quick Performance is a great and knowledgeable guy and our 20 minute phone conversation got thing figured out. Much more to come!

Nice work and thanks for sharing. I enjoyed reading your post from beginning to end. Good choice using the VHT Satin paint on your frame. Much better option than trying to brush some goopy high pigment paint on it. Keep the pics coming. I'm guessing you're going for a nice LS swap?

Hi, thanks! I have a 1999 Gen 6 454 that I will be using.
