it wasnt rust free when he bought it, but its rust free completely now. frame, underbody and all surface rust. this thing is clean. but it does a need a repaint. and the KM's are about 90k. very low, thats like 50k miles for you americans.

got the front laid out with the wheels and tires on. looks 100x better in person.

alright guys, heres some more pics of it, i THINK it will be one more full day for it to be drivable, but it still wont really hit the streets til its dry out. i might even drive it around unpainted because i wanna drive it so bad.

whaddya think??

Looks great!! Keep up the good work!!

"Whadda think?" Groan.. I think the anti performance smaller skinnier wheels and tires are going backward. Its not a build up its a tear down. Build up of performance cars makes it perform better as in quicker or handle better or stop faster etc. I hope you keep the bigger wider lighter factory special SS wheels with it for the next owner. Aside from that I am glad you fixed the rust.

looks good. nice progress

dude, ive done the whole performance thing with the lighter wheels bigger turbos etc. im not really into it anymore. i want a nice cruiser with enough power to still make me happy. i waanted to do a lowrider for 15 years, and this is my chance to do it, so i am. the wheels arent skinnier by the way, they are just smaller, they are just as wide as the factory wheels. thanks for your input thoug, not everyone will like it, especially people that have no respect for anything but their bias on muscle or power.

I came back on here to erase my comment as I generally only post the positive. Well looks like you saw it already. Generally I hold my tounge and I really do see and appreciate the work that you put in it. I don't dislike what you are doing except that I can't see doing it to a factory SS.
A regular non performance Monte etc would not bother me at all.
Although in a similar respect I put a 509ci Cadillac motor in an Olds 442. So some might say how hypocritical as the true pureist would say keep the 307 in it or at least an Olds motor. Although to me I saw a great performance platform/car in need of a great engine and a great engine in need of a great platform or car to put it in. I say I kept the vin 9 307 and it can go back in no cutting etc. but I assume you can say the same.

How do you get tired of a car that goes quicker/faster, handles curves better, stops quicker, and gets the same mileage. Although that probably was not your experience with building up a performance car as its not the actual experience of most hot rodders. Best of luck to you peace out.
