thanks man, im hoping to be able to drive it in the next week. i gotta get all the t-top weather stripping installed and the roof plates, and its drivable.

First of all, I am one of those high performance guys that likes to do nothing more than smoking the tires and racing from stoplight to stoplight. But have no fear, I'm not here to criticize your work, I admire what you are doing. I think that some of the people that have a problem with you doing this should talk to their local dirt track racers. Every Sunday night I find myself in the stands, and watch nothing but Monte's and Malibu's running around the track. These are the guys that are wrecking these irreplaceable cars, and it is impossible to restore these cars to road worthy conditions. I have heard horror stories of locals that used to cut holes in Super Sport hoods for air cleaners, if they only knew what they were doing! Although this would be the last thing I would do to my car, it's good to see a variety in the hobby. How boring would it be to see every Monte SS or every '32 coupe restored to factory original. Good work on your Monte and I am looking forward to seeing the completed product 😀

^^^ good to hear. thanks alot! im glad an HP guy actually appreciates the work gone into this car.

I dont care how my car looks. Its a 1978 Malibu I drug from the junkyard and it's my DD now, without paint, without subs, but it's realible, sounds good, and kinda quick. thing is your car doesn't look bad. An i'd rather cut up a g-body than an 63 Impala (oh god shoot me). I like being fast, i've got a cam, alum. intake, 275/60's and 235/60's, dual exhaust, bigger sway bars, reworked brakes. But I want to paint my car or atleast decent paint. I Do like how your car looks low, not that high in the air like the video. But you get decent mpg, look good, and like your car.

thanks for the replies. its alot of hard work and im glad some of you appreciate that.

im still not rolling because we need to bleed the brakes and sh*t and redo them because there was a lot of air in the lines. a actually drove around the block with almost no brakes and ran into the back of the garage whil driving it up on the hoist haha it was slow though, no damage, but its close!!! thats all we need to do. new pics up tonight!!!

I'm normally a performance freak but I gotta say your car looks great, well done.

thanks!! wait for the pics i post tonight, it looks way better in the sunlight. its dirty, but still looks way better.
