I was bored last night, and sketched this out for the idea I eventually want to do for a custom console for my wagon. Would love to see yours, or any feedback. I know you guys can be brutal at times, but I'm ready. ;)

IMO, the problem with most custom consoles is the sides look like a slab. They would look better with some horizontal embellishment, whether a raised rib, a recess, a molding, I don't know. Just seems like most are just a big flat surface that screams "look, I made this as simple as I could"

For what that looks like you could start with a second gen Camaro console and cut to fit I would think.

Well, I'm no Dave Kindig or Chip Foose, but I think it gets the main idea across.

Good luck on the second-gen console. Looked for a year, finally bought a MCSS for the seats and console.

Boxy is fine, i just think if it were mine, I'd add some styling feature to break up the tall sides...but that's just me.

The drawing is good, I think it's a pretty clear drawing of what you're looking for.

I just like stuff to look a little more "OE"-influenced.

The CTC consoles struck me as super plain/generic/spendy for what they are.

If you look at the muscle-era consoles, most have some styling feature on the side.

Your car, your choice of course, just something to chew on.

Well, I want to do padded vinyl with a French seam along the edge. I'm looking for custom but clean. Obviously want to bring the functionality into the 21st century. I think if done right, my idea could look really nice. Of course, style is subjective, but it's what I'm aiming for.

I started on this prototype a while back. I will paint some of it before using solid rivets to assemble and decide if I like it or not.
I just wanted some cup holders and to fill the hole between the seats.
