Today I began addressing the battery terminals. There were some cheap clamp type terminals on both batteries and the cables kept coming loose from the clamps. I stripped the cables, made my own lugs out of copper pipe and soldered them on. I ordered two sets of military style battery terminals from Amazon.

Amazon delivered today and I put these terminals on. Not bad quality for Chinesium. The plastic covers don't fit great but I didn't really expect them to. I made a couple cuts and used some zip ties to hold them on. Better than the nothing that was there before.

The cables are stiff, I'm hoping that after some heat exposure they form to their position. I still have to fix the small wires on the driver's side postive with some new ring terminals but I was ready to get out of the rain. I'll probably try to cover that big yellow cable (which is actually a piece of 2/0 welding cable) with some wire loom.

Regardless, I can't see how it could be any worse than what was there before.

And the pig ball sack dangling off from the hitch? ( ;) )

Nice work Joe - looks great!
No pig balls earned until he gets stacks behind the cab and a big ol turbo in there.

The Cummins decal only works if you put it on the side of something.... side of window, side of fender, side of truck....

Then it becomes a Cummins side decal. And may lead to the birth of dakotas.

In trying to keep up with the projects I can manage, I played with the Dodge today. It has been sitting for the past 4-5 weeks while I've been on the road. It was covered in dust and dirt but it started right up no issue. The inspection is expired and it will need a few things to pass. I placed an order to RockAuto for a spring shackle, an outer tie rod end, rear sway bar links and four new shocks. I went with generic Gabriel Ultra Truck shocks. It needs them, bad. Some refrigerant leaked out while the truck was parked and the AC was lukewarm at best so I added a can of R134a and it's back to where it should be. Finished by giving it a good wash to get all the grime off it and took it for a ride to blow out the cobwebs. Mirrors obviously flipped out because I'm a supertrucker now
