My El Camino is getting a 8.1/4l80 conversion

5662's are 706 lb/in. They work great with a Big Block.

Rock Auto has is listed wrong. I have them in my v6 car with drop spindles, and love them.
It leaves the question: what are 5664s?

Really cool conversion my old truck had an 8.1 and it was awesome. I always thought it would be great in a car

What mods did you have on your 8.1? Did you tune out the torque management? The 8.1 is really limited from the factory. I had Justin at blackbear performance tune my computer. He did a awesome job. I also have a tru track posi with 3.73's and it moves. I can't wait to get it sitting sturdy and take off the 24s I have on it now so i can actually drive it.

I had to chop off 1 to 3/4 of a coil with the 5662's in my T-type, to keep it from looking like a stock Monte SS.

With the extra weight of a BBC and a 4L80, maybe not much will need to come off,

I had the B-body spindles too. So take it with a grain of salt. But, I do agree they may be perfect out of the box for a BBC.

I definitely plan on running a 20 inch wheel up front with a 35 series tire. I need the height for the truck oil pan that comes 1 inch past the cross member

I don't really know what was done to it as far as tuning a friend of mine reprogrammed it with a download on his laptop and as far as bolt on's I did a Corsa cat back, throttle body spacer, and a k and n fresh air. I bought a new set of polished stainless steel headers for it but I never got to put them on. I got in an accident and it was totaled
