My turbo 5.3 and 4l80e wagon build

Ace Burt, that’s good info to know. I was thinking of getting the Wilwood 12.19s, as well as a full suspension, so it’s good to know what fits with what.
Doing it over I would just buy the shocks and the Spohn mounts instead of the g body kit, it would have been cheaper and fit the first time. The QA1 brackets are really well made, they just don’t fit.

Small update.
Started on my hotside today. Just bought a couple of mandrel bent pieces from Summit, cut them the way I wanted with a reciprocating saw and got to work. Even managed to get a flex coupler from Oriellys that has the bellows in the inside and not the mesh. Would have done more but I don't have a turbo collector yet and need it to figure out the rest.

I had a flex section in my hotside for awhile. It shrunk an inch and the cheap *ss pipe adapters at the manifold flange turn into a liquid like goo at temp and wreak havoc on everything downstream. It moved around enough that the slip joint right in front of the crank pulley came apart. It's got a bolt together joint there now.

Moral of the story is don't buy exhaust parts from O'Reilly's and expect them to survive pre turbo.

I didn't go with auto part store flange adapters, so maybe mine won't turn to goo lol.
That sucks about the flex joint. I should have known better than to get my hopes up about auto part store stuff. But oh well. I'll run it until it starts to give out, then buy a better one.
I have no shame

And thanks for posting pics of how you routed yours! I couldn't for the life of me find any pics of anyone online who was doing flipped manifolds on the passenger side that wasn't cutting the manifolds. I just wanted a visual to see how to curve the passenger side back around to line up with the collector. I now see that its possible! Lol

That's a picture of a pic that was on my old phone so it's blurry when you zoom in. If you look really close you can see that I cut some of the radius out of that bend on the passenger side to tighten it up.

I drilled a hole in the merge and mounted the wastegate to the bottom of it. I have pics but they are too large to upload I guess. Dump to atmosphere straight down on the wheel side of the frame. Limits turning radius but it's not bad.

Man this post has been extremely helpful! Did you make your own collector or buy one from someone? I'm debating on a Monkey Fab one or throwing one together and having my local Tig guy weld it up. I really like the idea of mounting the WG on the collector. I'm also considering mounting on the turbine housing but afraid I'll eff that up lol.

I made that abortion, not bad for my first time. Just angle cut a couple straight pieces till they fit in the flange then weld it up. The wastegate sits at a 90* to the exhaust flow which isn't ideal but I don't have boost creep issues.

Oh, I used a shitty harbor freight flux core welder.
