I just took ownership of this solid 86 GP. Not sure what direction I’ll be going with it yet. Came with another 2+2 nose, NOS door skins, lower chrome, gauge surround, quarter glass, and window trim. The car is pretty rust free, especially for a car that’s been sitting out in the elements for 5 years. Unfortunately no engine, trans, or driveshaft, and the windshield is cracked. I really don’t need another car but I tried to buy this car a few years ago, and was told no. The owner called me out of the blue and decided to sell, so I jumped on it. It’s behind my buddy’s shop, and I don’t have to move it any time soon so I have time to figure out my plan.
I may fix the couple of dents, drop in a sbc and use it. Time will tell.

I picked up some of the parts today. Still have to get the other 2+2 nose and the door skins. A full set of lower chrome, used but in nice shape. The dash bezel is brand new, and so are the side glass. Unfortunately a few of the window molding and drip rails are missing. Some brand new door sills, that will hopefully fit my Malibu.

So how does the other 2 + 2 nose look?

No cracks in this one. It’s a little out of shape though. Door skins are still in the gm packages.

Some of those parts are unobtanium or almost there, and a tad pricey if you can find them. Great score!

Opened the boxes with the skins in them today. One has a small ding in it, but they are good to go. The nose is good. I was worried, because it was all flat.

So, and I am headed somewhere with this question...

Does this roller have any rough build date info anywhere on the car? Likewise, did the spid label survive?

The label on the deck lid is worn out. It’s just an 86 GP with a 2+2 nose that was added to it, as far as I know. Original owner worked at a Pontiac dealer. When it closed he grabbed as many parts as he could.

Gotcha.

Reason why is there were some cars documented by PHS that did not have the rear window conversions done, but, were true 2+2 cars. They got the nose, the emblems, and had the grey interior and silver paint, but, when they got sent to be converted, there just weren't all the parts.

Hemmings did an article about one of them in original paint and has copies of the PHS documents. Nobody knows how many went out like that, but. Supposedly a few.
