I'm new to the site, but not new to these cars. I had a 78 Malibu 2-door a few years ago in highschool, and about two weeks ago I got this wagon off a co-worker. Its a 1979 with a 1981 front clip, GM 260hp crate motor, and TH350 trans. Body is in pretty good shape, except for the "new" sheetmetal on the front clip.

My co-worker had installed a .510 lift cam in it, and a gear drive. I had to undo a bit of his work, including putting the stock cam back in.

Here is it when I first got it;

Here it is, without the IROC rims, and new stock springs (last owner cut the originals) I borrowed the wheels/tires off my 49 Chevy until I can get some rally's for this.

WOOOO Roof Rack is back!

And here is the motor after I fixed a lot of stuff;

Dual electric fans.

It needs a 3 core rad, as the car gets really hot when cruising or going up hill. It also needs different exhaust. I want to ditch the headers because they rub the frame, brake lines, and oil filter (!!!). I'm planning on putting a stock Monte SS exhaust on it, but with the tailpipes out behind the rear wheels.

It's an Edelbrock Performer EPS intake. I have a 3/4'' plastic spacer under the air cleaner for clearence, and it still doesn't hit the hood. It is close though, I'm sure if it was an air-gap it wouldn't fit.

Welcome aboard! Cool wagon. Nice Nova in the background. I wouldn't mind seeing your '49 Chevy.

Has a 10.5:1 350, worked vortec heads, 292H Comp Magnum cam, air gap intake, Mighty Demon 750 with annular boosters. Should be good for 400ish hp.

Here is the 49 Chevy.
