Good plan.

See, to me the thing is that with the old decals on it, it's obvious that it's the real deal. New paint and decals, people will just assume it's just another "tribute" car....kinda like this "GSX"View attachment 113322

I agree I think while even if I was to repaint it and put new decals on yes it would get attention but I think it having its original battle scars will be more of attention draw to it at shows. I’ve been collecting quite a bit of memororablia for the car to show with it

Working on some painting and reassembling some misc brackets today

I like your shop!

Thank you I am about to run out of room though although i have gotten some better shelving that has helped a bunch I have collected and accumulated a whole bunch of stuff since buying my house. I plan on building a 30x40 metal building with concrete floor to have a lift installed in and house a few more cars I have 3 in my basement garage right now.

Got my butt back into gear on the Buick. Been painting and cleaning parts today. Also went through and cleaned the glass and interior i scraped the old inspection sticker off the windshield and what a pain that was it was in a awkward spot. Went by the machine shop I think two weeks ago and no updates on the motor yet still waiting to be cleaned. Also got the new sway bar bushings in since the originals were non existent.

much easier with one of these, used them when I used to do inspections when we still had the sticker on the bottom corner. little windex, scrape, and wipe.

side note, sorry I haven't gotten back with you on getting that engine over to you. spent last weekend in Nasville TN, and extra hours at work.... will be in touch soon.

No worries on the engine I’ve been busy myself i got some room made for it though and I have a small scraper but that one you have would’ve done the trick for sure. This Va inspection sticker they just stuck it in the center of the windshield

Should have drove it over to Indy today since it was race day!!!!!!!
