What's the condition of the Monte motor?
One Monte has an LT1(gen 1 sbc) needs computer and wiring and comes with a complete wrecked SS parts car for $3500, another is an SS body only for $1700, and one is from a member here body only for $2000. The pair with LT1 is the ones I'm leaning toward. I won't mess with the LT1 though. I have a 406 I'll be using. Plan on looking at all of them and finding out bottom dollar. There's an 87 Luxery Sport with a 454 but the guy will not return emails

No plans on buying a crewcab though, they ruined them in 81 with the formal roof.

Going off-topic, but ....

When I look at my '83 from the side, it looks like they sawed two cars in half and glued the rear from one car to the front from another. I've been looking at wheels, and I'm concerned that what looks good on the coupes will just look .... hmm, how do I say it .... But hey, at least I'm different! :p

You do have the advantage of 18 pages of the posts documenting the work you have put into the car. For the right person who wants a driveable 30 year old car, this is it. I'd price it high and not settle for less that 3K as is.

Please do not remind me. I'm going to start a gofundmetobuyUMIparts cause that exchange is killing me

as far as the paint on the El Camino I would leave it as is, when a car is freshly painted I always wonder what the paint is hiding
