I was in an earthquake in Santiago in 1998 and then I found out it really was a normal occurrence... but 16 stories up sitting on the toilet being from flat Florida, made it a freaky experience.

I´m happy, today I buy all steering and front suspension hardware , I like to drive very secure and the car have original ball joint and bushing.

I like orginal drive, and I buy original style bushing, I hate PU , I put PU bshing in my Chevy Nova 1977, and the drive is horrible in city ....too hard.

this is the list.

A good start is dual exhaust, 2.25", cap the extra port in the manifold. That will help the 260 and make the 350 that much better. Find out what heads and pistons were used in that 350.

Hi,

What do you mean , cap "extra port" in the manifold?, I would like to conserve the 260 engine, with the dual exhaust the engine has more power or "live"?

thanks and sorry for my english.

There is an extra port on all Olds SB manifolds the passenger side front port that needs capped for dual exhaust. The factory exhaust is a terrible design, very restrictive. 2" to 2.25" dual exhaust will add power and fuel economy to the 260, 330 or 350. A Jetfire 330 is a good choice, will bolt right in place of your 260. You will need to use your 260 water pump and pulleys on either motor for alignment.

I see, today I search this port, If I put 2.5" exhaust is too much? the exhaust is a right desing , "X" design or "H" desing? , exist a headers to make this transformation? , really the 260 engine....has a terrible poor performance, it is possible to put a 4 barrel carburetor , maybe a quadrajet?, or change piston to add more compression?, I not need a race car....(for this I can put a 350), but a lillte more hp its would be a good thing... :)

You could technically bolt on a 307 or 350's 4 bbl manifold but it will be very questionable how much performance it will add. The intake ports are tiny compared to the 330, 350, 403 and early 307. The late 307 has the same sized ports but are in a different spot and were all computer controlled 4 bbl carbed. Yes, 2.5" dual exhaust is way to big for a 260, OK for a 350. I have 2" dual exhaust on my 260, an open top on the factory air cleaner, using a 10" chrome cover and using very aggressive timing. It gives OK performance but not great, I am still going to an Olds 350. Here is the cap you need.
