Ok, quick update. I landed early sunday morning and needed a few days to acclimatize to the first world again...

So this has been a little bit of a distraction for me this week. The rear shop is essentially complete, minus heat, and I have begun clearing out some stuff out of the front garage. I want to make some room up front to finish the Cutlass and have room to move around. I should have most of my chores done tomorrow, and I will be able to more fully focus on the Cutlass over the weekend.

So I spent an hour in the garage looking everything over and making a list.

Here is one of the next issues I want to throw parts at.

Front height is super low. I am really not liking it. Tires are 165R15 skinnies and should be 25 or so inches tall.

Rear with 275/60R15 DOT slicks is about right. I could lower it a touch but Ill transfer some weight back with fuel and lifiting the front about 2 inches.

Front Springs are supposed to be Moroso race springs, but I am guessing the 212lb versions, because they squat hard.

I am thinking Moog 5660 for replacements. But I will take some feedback for those smarter than I am. She will get a set of 215/65R15 for the front, for standard usage.

‘81Cutlass just installed a set of 5660’s. Would be great if he could get a weight distribution on the car.

Personally, it’s a total guess for a spring in a turbo’d car with a cage without some weights to compare. You’ve removed a crap ton of weight in the front, but then added darn near 100 lbs of boostey things. Does the cage cage add much onto the front end? I don’t know.

Do you access to a set of race scales?

My thought is that I am probably only a little more front heavy than an iron head, iron intake SBC with all the factory trappings. The cage isn't really over the front and I've probably offset much of that weight with Door bar and interior removal. Moroso lists a 212lb/in, a 242lb/in and a 250lb/in spring set. The 212lb/in being for a V6, and I wouldn't be surprised if that's what was in the car.

I dont have access to scales unfortunately.

I'm at 27" with 5660's on 225/60/15 with 1/2 tall lower ball joints.

Iron 3.8, aluminum core support and front bumper. I don't think it's settled yet.

My 2+2 is 25.75ish with iron LS and blower and AC.

Maybe I should buy scales....

Got a minor update today.

Fuel lines are done, had to replace a section of -8 due to an unfortunate interference issue. Also put the last pressure connectors on the main under hood harness, so I can finish the fuel pump relay board and test fuel delivery tomorrow, as well as do a final sensor test with the dominator.

One more ground to run from firewall bulkhead to battery, change the ends on fuel injector harness 2 and double check a few other things and there could be a startup video coming soon.

Underhood harness complete. Fuel system complete.

Blowing it apart to run primary power and battery ground to block. Then reassemble and finalize for the last time.

If anyone has a 4L80e dipstick with holley mounts that doesn't suck, I F'N hate the Lokar flexible piece of crap I currently have. Options please!

I'm using a factory stick and tube that came with my transmission. I had to bend the tube (heat), cut off the mounting bracket and re-weld as needed. I can actually pull out the dipstick tube with only removing the downpipe.

Cheap and works (I think I should make that my 'handle' hehe.)
