Also very important if u try the 50-50 mix make sure u seal up the cylinder so the acetone doesn't evaporate.
 
if it's bad, and if you end up coming down to Denton to pick up anything from that junkyard, if you still have the pig, swing by greensboro... got a fwd3800 sitting on an engine stand that should still be in good condition... couple of years ago I bought a w-body with a locked up motor, and picked up a good used motor that I re-sealed and was halfway done with the swap when I remembered the notorious intake gaskets they had.... sure enough, they were all full of water... drained it out, and set it on the stand... I'll try to get out in the next few days to make sure it's not locked up... I was going to use it if we traded, but it's yours if you want it.

So, I decided to abort the locked up s/c motor, and rebuild the 9.4 n/a. I'm getting a new rod and reman crank, I suppose.
The bearings were cooked
