That's awesome!! GM v6s are raspy little bastards! I'd be trying to quiet it down too.

Now I'm going to have to go do a burnout video. Your crew cab looks alot better than mine!

Made a new over the axle tube. Hope that gets rid of a lot of noise....

Mileage update: 19mpg blurred by 1 gratuitous burnout and some various WOT pulls. Not too shabby- now, if I could just keep my foot out of it for half a minute...
The new over the axle tube almost worked; it's still hitting somewhere back there, but nowhere near as bad. I also found a broken weld where it was leaking on the old. Cabin noise has been greatly reduced, but not to the point I would like. The QuietFlow 3 muffler I ordered turned out to be wrong (2-1/2 on one end- 1-7/8(?!) on the other, so that's going back. Oil pressure is holding steady, but there's still something making noise in the engine- could be valvetrain related (collapsed lifter?). At least it's somewhat driveable, now. 😎

Well 23 mpg isn't too bad, 27.5 mpg imperial. I got 26 mpg imperial with Dr Olds mileage machine in cool fall weather, shooting for 30 mpg imperial this summer. What is temperature there right now? In -40 our Challenger got as low as 21 mpg imperial, on a long trip in warm summer weather, 32 mpg imperial, you see the big difference.

Those are fairly low temperatures, you should be able to hit mid 20's in summer, which is not bad. I said screw the mpg loss on my Dakota, which was no hell to begin with and the 3.9 was very near death. My swap was about much fun and simple as your swap.
