The system from the Firebird says 24oz, so that's what I put in. It was working pretty well on 16. I almost wonder if it still has air, but vacuum is vacuum; how much is enough? I also did this:1.5 pounds sounds low for a G body even with R134, I have charged mine to 85% of the original decal capacity and been very happy with the results. As I recall, it was little over 2.5 pounds with an R4 compressor.
