Our 79 Monte Carlo- Pro Touring Project

We ran the Green Machine at PIttsburgh International Race Complex this past weekend. It is now 2 seconds faster than last year. It REALLY handles down the straight. 🙂

2 seconds a lap in circle track or road racing is phenomenal. ....if we picked up 2/10 of a second in our pro late model we were real happy.....that is a great job you guys are doing and kudos to the driver...🙂

Do you think the 2 seconds came from upgrades or from becoming more familiar with the car?

A variety of factors I’d say. More power, 315 square on the tires instead of 275’s, studying game film, etc.

I absolutely love this build. You have inspired me to go the same route with my build.

Have you had a chance to do another skid pad test other than when you first bought it? Do you think its pulling over 1 g now?

How about the aero upgrades? Did you feel a difference on the track? Did you make any adjustments to the splitter or wing?

We haven't had telemetry on it yet but with 315's I'm sure it spikes over 1G. It's routinely around mid-pack with C5's mixed in.

The front splitter gave it a noticeably better attitude (no more nose-up) on road courses. So far so good. And no adjustments. The car is very stable and works well.

Thanks for the message!
