Out of State Tickets?

Do you have catalytic converters? Even though they do not do emissions testing in Iowa, it is not legal with out them. You can get a fine for 10000 dollar and your car can be impounded for not having them. Never heard of anyone who has had that happen through. It is not the muffler that is legal or not. It is the decibel level. O ya, don't call me when you are stranded.

None of my cars have cats. None of them will probably ever have cats.
Afaik there Is No decibel limit for cars in Iowa.
There is for snowmobiles and atvs I think.

The wording is vauge, on purpose I suppose.

Also: of all the times ive gotten pulled over only once I was told to fix my loud exhaust back when I had downpipes and m80s like 6 years ago. Usually its for my windshield. Once was a cop pulled me over molested my tape deck for all my heroin I keep in there, broke it, and gave me a warning for my slowly reacting turn signals.

Corn doesn't care about noise. People do.

They'll pull you over for noise elsewhere if they want to. Cheap generic walker mufflers are like $20 each. No reason to give the populations of half a dozen states a middle finger with cherry bombs.

When I get pulled over I just take what they hand me because I can't hear what the officer is saying because of my ear protection that I have to wear to drive my car.
