They call them dual-button shifters. Or Lightning Buttons. 🙂 Push the one closest to you for D, the middle one for second, and the furthest one on passenger side for first. Then mash throttle and push the furthest one to get to 2nd, and then the middle one to get to 3rd. I'm JOKING!!Not to mention it's a HURST
Push button HURST??????????????????
'56 Chrysler. I've seen this style push button shifters used in a lot of late '60's Mopars for dragging. Why, because you can't grab something and tug at it?
They're in a few modern era vehicles... heck they go back to the 50's even with Edsel
No, that had major suspension mods and a 5 SPD manual. It also had a functional cowl induction along with shorty headers, an actual Y pipe and Corvette cat, brought the swirl port 307 up 30 hp to 200 even.Did a little search myself, Could this be it? Or a different Concept package? http://oldconceptcars.com/1930-2004/oldsmobile-fe3-x-calais-concept-1985/
Doc Watson marketed the heck out of it.
How did I miss this thread? Mike M. (88hurstolds) would be considered the expert in all things '88 H/O (amd commemorative) as well as Angelo Valenti for the FE3-X history (haven't seen him around here in a long time). Too bad that history is being lost on the masses.I don't know, but Vitek's car is pretty freaking sweet with the ground effects....
