Phenolic carb spacers

Considering the air gap shown is for sbc and I don’t believe they have one for sbo do you think there is a reason for the design differences?

Interesting the gasket that came with the carb from summit seems to be the same design and thickness I wonder why that isn’t stopping the heat maybe the phenolic spacer won’t do the trick and it’s overall heat in the engine compartment not the carb exposure to the intake.
