The parts are slowly rolling in. I came home to find that I had received a few deliveries today.

The poly transmission mount.

The torque converter.

And the shift kit.

I'm still waiting on the rebuild kit and the crossmember bushings/isolators.

Any particular reason for the poly transmission mount?

Do you or did you have a broken motor mount?

As far as I know, I don't. I haven't driven the car in months and I haven't been messing with it since I parked it when the transmission went out. I'll check it out before I start driving it again.

I do not like using poly or solid trans mounts.

Aluminum case VS. steel X-member

Steel X-member is going to win that fight.

I rather replace a 10 dollar rubber mount than my trannys case.

I'm hoping I don't have that problem. I guess I'll find out.

If you keep breaking trans mounts there is a problem.

That poly mount will make it worse since the rubber mount will no longer be the weak link.

Something somewhere will have to give.

I got a surprise yesterday. I wasn't expecting the rest of my parts to get here until Monday but when I came home from work I found 2 boxes waiting for me.

The new crossmember bushings/isolators.

And the most complete rebuild kit I could find.

The kit comes with new bushings, thrust washers and Torrington bearings. A lot of kits don't come with these extras.

The only thing I don't have because I forgot to order it is assembly lube. I'm on my way to O'Reilly right now to buy some. I'm gonna try to get the transmission rebuilt today.
