Possible 1979 w30 purchase

So I got my first bad news today. I dropped off the one wheel to my friends wheel repair shop to have him fix a slight bend in the lip. He called me today and said the wheel is “hub bent”. It means the whole wheel is bent and will wobble and is basically unfixable. I thought it was just the axle shaft on that side.

The kid I got the car from did it. He bought it and got it back on the road. He was sorting it out and was going to paint it. He got clipped in the quarter and spun out. When that happened he hit a divider with the back of the car and the wheel hit. The impact messed up the rear body, frame behind the wheels, broke the drivers door latch, and the one t top flew off. He was ok but the guy took off. He had the car less than a month.
