Primer /paint question

I'd spray it with a real good sealer if it's going to be outside and when your ready prime and paint. For a sealer 1.4 tip is good. For a high build primer a 1.7 is about the biggest I'd ever use

Thanks Steve,
A sealer might be the way to go. I guess the primer that I'm considering is a high build primer, not a sealer per se. Hmmmm.

the primer I use is depending how it is mixed a sealer, primer or high build primer. It wasn't cheap but it went on nice.

Looks like an impressive product. No urethane content from what I can tell. Formulated with a hybrid epoxy and acrylic polymers. Sounds good.

That's because of the voc compliance in Canada. You cannot get a urethane paint up here. The old paints with the solvents can't be sold up here any longer so all we can get are the voc that comply which means the products are expensive. Some stores won't even sell to the general public. Funny thing is the plants that make metal products that have to be painted are not bound by the new legislation. They can use whatever paint they want.

That's interesting. I kind of thought it was a Canadian product. I also didn't realize the VOC regulations were so stringent up there, with exception of big industry. Very interesting indeed.
I guess urethane could be some pretty toxic stuff. Depending if they contain isocyanates. That's some nasty stuff.

Good luck Jack. I am stuck in between coats on my Sunfire. Time vanished. You've inspired me to get back at it before winter slams in.
