Do you weld thru the epoxy or chassis saver? or do you clean it off in the areas to be plug welded and use a different primer? Those refinished parts looks like new!

Last week I spent some time at Gbodyparts.com going over some of the plans we have in motion. Since I was there I decided to go out back to the yard and get a few items cut out of a couple parts cars he has. I grabbed a right rear outer wheel house lower patch. Today I decided to get our lower patch panel that we had reproduction and putting it to the test. I wanted to cut weld, craft and paint it today. I was able to get most of the work done. I have a little more work to do on the body line to get it perfect

time for some polyester filler

I used some tape as a guide to mask and build up a body line that is straight

Not too bad for second time applying body filler, it looks like some small refinements with teh body line and I will be golden

Worked on replacing the under seat cross member ends this weekend. This took FOREVER since I has to fabricate the floor piece into the brace. I also had to make a new "diamond" bracket for it to sit into since it was rusted all to hell.

Took a break from the other 442 just purchased to clear my head and make sure I am positive about parting it. So I get my relaxation by doing some welding and fitting of some lower quarter patch panel pieces. These are the prototype items that we just brought out. They weld and fit in nicely, and the metal is gauged correctly.

this tells me where my body line is so I can make the line straight with the patch panel's body line

Don't those lower panels have a slight bend in them half way through? Or is it different with some models?
