PROJECT "LAID BACK" - 1978 CENTURY 2 DOOR AEROBACK

I also scored the ultimate set of rear sail panels for this car. These rot quickly from the sun, due to the extra large rear window in the Aeroback. These were literally rotted into a thousand pieces in my car, and the only thing still there were the mounting screws, LOL. I had bought a set out of Ohio, several weeks back. They were only about a 5 out of 10, and thought I would have to live with them. Negative... I found a really nice set that are a solid 8 out of 10, and once I clean and paint, they will be 10's. Very Fortunate to have these... Now if I can just get a headliner figured out... that's another story for a later update. Here's the pics.

Nice find! That’s my biggest concern is finding decent interior trim pieces. It was like a needle in a haystack just finding the fender trim molding for the wagon (thanks again Emmanuel cuellar! 🙂) Thankfully, the interior on the wagon is in pretty good shape. Hoping it stays that way!

These cars are basically rwd Citiation's. I owned the fwd Citiation, wow a sad time indeed, yes a Caravan was an upgrade. This on the other hand will have sledgehammer power, always a good thing🙂.

Thanks again guys. We got Americans, Canadians, and Germans posting on this build thread..that's pretty cool in my book. So you guys knew I was going "Black Friday" shopping at the J- Yard. And the shopping cart looks like this... 2001 Chevy Blazer spindles & hubs ( hubs look to be in pretty good shape - may have been replaced recently ). 2000 Ford Explorer 8.8" - 3.73 posi - disc brake rear axle. With core charges, and tax, I have $141 dollars in all this. Pretty good for half a days work. Let the clean-up and paint begin...
