No worries on the seal. I would've opted for Zach's option - but I'm hell with a 1/4 ball bit on a die grinder.

Congrats. Send the tool back.

Is that a plug in the back of the crank? I can't tell looking at the picture.

Yes it is. LS engines have an oil plug in the end of the crankshaft.

Also installed the skip shift delete plug and a reverse lockout plug. It is spring loaded to minimize the chance of you going into reverse.

It's a miracle. I finally got some garage time to do what I want. Had to get the transmission crossmember installed. Picked up one from a 2000 Crown Vic. Supposedly cut the end off and bolt it right in. Yeah not so much. Chopped about 2.5" off one end, then heated and flattened it. Other end needed to be cut off about 3.5" then I welded a piece of angle iron on to the end for it to rest on top of the frame rail. Besides that, I bolts right. 4 hours later. 🤣 I'm just hoping I can cut and chop the exhaust to fit around everything now. The x portion is currently in the same location as the transmission mount so obviously it needs to be moved quite a bit. We shall see how it all turns out.

I know it doesn't look like much, but I finally had a little garage time to dedicate to the car. I reinstalled the passenger side valve cover and coils that I had removed to allow the engine to tilt back further while installing the transmission. Also reinstalled the intake and throttle body. I noticed two of the t-body screws were bottoming out on the intake before the t-body was fully seated, took about two threads off of them and now it sits flush like it should. Also cleaned and installed the the PS pump, line screwed right into the gear box, just need a little longer return hose and that will be all set. Starter is in too. Which I realized my battery cable from the trunk is now too short because it will be resting o.ln the headers. Ordered some 1/0 cable and lugs to replace that. We'll see where tonight gets me.

How come your power steering pulley isn't crashing into the steering box like all the rest of the people with that issue? Doesn't even look close, yet there are probably 100 threads about it.
