Good idea on rebuilding the 12si alternator for more amps, should last a long time. Most of the aftermarket 100+ amp Chrome alternator's are 10si based and don't last long term, ask me how I know. Ken at Everyday Performance is great to deal with, he did my non CCC Qjet. Can you posts pics of the exhaust, the head pipes where they go into the collectors specifically? I hope the paint job at least looks good and the car is rust free, wow the little stuff is brutal on that car. In the end, you will have a very nice ride.

It all began late last summer; after I sold a Jeep Wrangler that had been my project vehicle for the last 6 years. I really wanted to get a G-Body to build into fun street car. I've liked these cars since I was a kid, I think a GNX would be my dream G-body that just isn't in my budget unless I win the PCH Sweepstakes or find a winning lotto ticket..

I enjoyed reading through your posts, thanks for sharing. It's amazing how the Texas heat and sun will destroy the paint and interior on these cars. It appears to be rust free so that is a big plus. Finding poor workmanship and hacks in your purchase is frustrating but is looks like you are enjoying going through it in detail and having fun in the process. The seller definitely misrepresented the condition of the car. I would be going back with legal representation.....Was it some Gas Monkey Garage wanna be dealer trying to flip it?

Very nice work! Do you have the model number for those dash speakers? Looks like they fit perfect. How is the sound quality?

That car is scary .Thats why I go for local cars ,Or go your self and bring someone you trust look at the car. Because you can go "Ga Ga" over a car and not look so carefully .I have learned this fro my friends an have pretty good luck that way.

There aren't too many 442's locally in Colorado. There was one recently on Craigslist which went for 2500 I believe and it needed body, paint, had wire wheel covers, bench seat. Factor in adding that stuff and you're up over what he initially paid.
