Mine started leaking coolant from the water pump so I went and bought a new dirt bike and haven't touched the car in three weeks. That'll teach it!!

Remember when I parked my 78 Cutlass in the weeds in the corner of my yard so it could think about what it did wrong?............. It didn't learn anything lol

Hope the glass guys get the leaks taken care of, Donovan. It sure does crush your mood but things will work out. Take a break for a bit and regroup.

Thanks for all the support everyone.
I just need to take a break from it for a while and not look at it. I’ve decided I’m gonna give it a rest this week and avoid anything car related.
Hopefully this’ll give me time to work through this shitty self defeatist funk I’m in because of it as well.

I know full well it’s all part of the game, give and take, win some and lose some but I’m just so over it at this point. With all the countless hours and work and money I’ve put into this thing it’d be nice if just once, just ONCE things went in my favour.

Anyways. Moving forward.

I called the glass shop today and booked an appointment for Tuesday the 7th, so hopefully I can get it in and they can get this thing sealed up. We shall see. I’ll update again after the appointment and let y’all know how I made out.

Thanks again everyone, I really appreciate the support and words of encouragement.

D.

Glad you decided to take a breather for awhile, D,
Not a bad idea. You've been chipping away at this project for quite awhile and sometimes it tends to catch up to you in an adverse way....burnout in other words.
By the time you get back to it you'll have rested your brain and will approach it with a fresh prospective.
In the meantime, take care of yourself, buddy.

Though I've been taking too many . . .

Breaks are good. Partly health interruptions too but I am just now getting back into it after taking a break discovering all of my disgusting surprises on what started out to be a pretty simple project. You figure 28K actual miles, garaged from day one, what could possibly go wrong? Cheap rear end internals behind big block power and simply 30 years of age seals, mounts, lines, headliners, etc. etc. etc.

Could have been those bad *ss burn outs you did . . . ??

But, I have had leaks pop up after glass change just from extended driving though.

Keep the faith brother. You've taken a heap WAY too "impressively" far to give up now.
