BUILD THREAD Project Olds Cool (Recognition!!)

D,
With your work always spot-on, it's no wonder everyone is so critical and looking for the least bit of fault. I admit , I noticed that myself, but I knew it was a minor oversight that you were aware of and would correct ...no big deal.
I must say, it came out awesome.

Thank you Jack. I don’t mind if the guys are looking at my work with a critical eye, it keeps me honest. It’s seeming like everyone caught my little oversight but me! It would’ve been nice if someone mentioned it earlier, but as I said, no harm no foul. I honestly have no excuse for it, I guess I should’ve been paying closer attention after I transferred the markings from my template.

Looks friggin great! 👍

Thanks Joe!
This side went a lot quicker and more smoothly than the other side, I estimate I had close to 100 test fits on that one before I got it to fit right. This side only took a dozen or so thankfully, which means I can move on to the next stage that much quicker.
Appreciate the comments gents!!

Got caught up on everything a little while back Donovan...didn't realize I missed as much as I did. It's coming along very nicely! Awesome work man!

Hey guys.

I’ve been continuing to bust *ss on the fender and marker light mod, and am making some decent headway. However there’s gonna be a small delay in the progress.

I had a slight mishap at work today and got the middle finger on my right hand a little too close to the business end of a running compressor fan. A trip to the emerg walk-in and 5 stitches later, I’m lucky to still have that finger.

It’s sore as hell right now and is gonna take some time to heal up, but I’m gonna try not to let it make me fall too far behind my schedule. Hopefully I’ll be able to keep rocking and rolling on the car again before too long. In the immediate future however, it’s painkillers and a couple nights off.

Here’s a few progress pictures to keep everyone interested in the meantime.

Sorry to hear about the mishap Donovan...good to hear you've still got all your fingers!

Thanks Kevin.
Myself and another tech were troubleshooting the source of an oil leak on a rotary screw compressor, and had to do it while it was running. A split second lapse in concentration is all it took, and BRRRPT!!!

Funny thing is it didn’t hurt at the time, but it’s some sore now. I’m just glad it wasn’t any worse.
