Just wait until it's all done.
Sit back & admire your efforts @ that first show....

And then that ONE GUY is going to come along & tell you how his uncle had a T-top Malibu "special ordered' from the factory that way so he knows how rare they are :blam:

I was up long before everyone else this morning, so I went to the garage and messed around with my custom grill idea. Cut out the egg crate and replace it with a more modern honeycomb pattern. I have no idea how this will turn out. If it’s good, it’ll stick with the “modern 80s” theme of the car. If not, I’ll run a stocker. Anybody know a good epoxy that will adhere the two materials? Both are abs, but the grill is a lot stiffer, like they’re different grades.

They're not that rare. I know a guy that had 4 of them with T-tops...haha

J/K. I know what you mean. And there's no reason to engage with them because best case on what they remembered as a Malibu was actually a Monte or something like that. You'll never convince them, even with proof. Facts just get in the way of their memory.

I’ll spray the liner tomorrow and fasten to the chassis on Sunday.

Today we scuffed and scuffed and scuffed and scuffed and scuffed some more. Then seam sealed and shot bed liner on the firewall, floor and in the trunk.

Tomorrow two become one and I can’t wait to install the middle lower bushing.
