Rear control arm bracing really needed?

The frame and body can also be distorted from alot of HP and torque. Turbo Buick guys would say a stock G body could handle up to 400 HP before it would start to distort and fail. Granted Regals, even the turbo versions had the worst body and frame setups along with the sharper rising stress curve from the turbo motor (n/a engines tend to have a flater rising stress curve which breaks stuff less). The instructions for the Tinman rear seat braces states they don't come predrilled as many G bodies are already distorted from normal driving to misalign the prexisting holes.

On this subject of G body twist and other handling issues, a poster named MAP over on Montecarloss.com has talked about this in great detail.

Get adjustable everything... set the adjustments to your g-body's liking. My El Camino squats and goes. No twisting, hopping, or anything of the sort.

How much does it squat? Have you calculated for instant center? I have learned a lot about the anti squat value and instant centers and it is pretty interesting. I was able to adjust it and get it to my el Camino barely squats...it just goes!
