The tubular lowers are a little cheaper and according to Ryan at UMI they are just as strong as the box style.

I am looking at replacing both upper and lowers and would like to fish for some more info about the adjustable uppers. How much of a change in ride height would justify getting them versus a non-adj. set? Personally, I have the SC&C stage2 which lowers the car about 2 inches.

Not trying to hijack, just wanting some more info for the OP, myself, and everyone's benefit.

Most of the control arms say they come adjusted for stock...but I don't trust that, you are better off taking the measurements and knowing it's right.

My Edelbrocks said the same thing in the instructions. So they were left as is. But about 2 weeks later they came loose. So I wouldn't trust them out of the box.

For the time and work involved in changing stock bushings get inexpensive aftermarket lowers. For the upper the double adjustable is very nice as you can adjust them on the car for different track conditions or tires and the price difference isn't that great.

Hello,

The tubular lower rear control arms are less expensive and work just as well. They take less time and material to manufacture which allows us to sell them for less. Our tubular rear lowers with polyurethane bushings have cut a 1.29 60-foot before!

The adjustable uppers are shipped preset to factory length to help make the install easier. You can then adjust them on the car to change pinion angle.

If I can answer any questions please ask. Thanks for considering the UMI items 😀

I did the upper and lowers from UMI when I had the 8.5 rear in my car.

I loved them. I sold them with the rear due to needing adjustable upper and lowers for my 9"

I measure it using using this...they are not shipped adjusted for any rear. What you can do to make it easy is change one at a time so you keep the angle you have

I love the lower pic. That is actually the simplest solution to measuring driveline angle that I've seen. 😀

If you take one control arm off at a time, and compare it to the one you're going to install, you should be good to go.

Our next big sale will probably be 4th of July. I was looking for an American Flag avatar but all I could come up with was this banana.
