Rear-ended driving Aerocoupe today

Hmmm, hate to say it, but that is knocking on the door for total loss. Insurance companies only see Monte Carlo, they won't care that it's an Aerocoupe, so you may be in for some long negotiations.

Obviously I don't have to tell you not to let them declare it totalled and issue a salvage title.

Some years back the guys on Monte Carlo SS.com were talking about insurance claims. *Some* provisions state that instead of paying you cash for your total loss, they must bring the condition back to "pre-loss" condition. If they don't want to fix the car, they have to replace it with another car in at least equal condition. If they start looking at what a MCSS Aerocoupe goes for, they'll gladly write you a check for the damage.

This may or may not help you out, just another route you may be able to look into.

Sorry about your accident. It may have a gold lining in the long run though. Good luck.
