Made a little relay board to run my 2 Racetronix fuel pumps and 1 for an on board compressor to control a wastegate.

Seems so far efficient man ☺️🤘

It's funny though because yesterday, I had to wire up some controls like the example we had, including contactor and relays to showcase our skills, for our HVAC (Refrigeration) prof also haha.

I never really, cared for these things up until recently so it's great to learn, new stuff especially when you want to run accessories, and not waste on large rolls of wiring like I have been doing all this time ctfu 🤦‍♀️🤣🤣🤣

Oh can I ask too, what units do you recommend beside AC Delco, Carter or Purolator for electric pumps also? Cheers man.

Nice job ! Curious though. Why just four colors of wire or doesnt it matter ?
Also where did you find the different colors of shrink tubing ?

Hey Gothic. That is a cool display. It may not get top points for being on a wooden board with a few chips but if it teaches one person, then it's mission was accomplished. You should do a video for a full demonstration.

I have zero opinions on electric pumps. I just do not trust cheap.

Mikester. There is only 4 because I removed the one black wire. Black is for normally closed. Since none of mine circuits need NC, I omitted it.
The red and white are signal wires. Pump A has a positive signal. Pump B has a negative signal. This is what Holley Terminator sends out. I just reversed my wiring on pump B to make it happen.
I still may add a signal wire to run the compressor but now it just gets a signal whenever Pump A is on.

I hope this inspires your future electric jobs. Wire nuts, black tape, zip tie connections all may get it to work, at that moment but one day when it's time to diagnose, a diagram , labeling and organization will benefit you.
This comes from being a technician. Diagnosing problems in robots is my job.

Hey, I appreciate that and I can see why you would go the way you did when getting those all installed for sure, because it makes things alot easier to work on in the future too.

I am not sure if you are attending any events, in the province this year but I wouldn't mind asking ya a few questions and learn some new myself dude lol!

Unfortunately I can't give you a video, because we had to rush the project because of a short that made even my prof spent the whole class diagnosing- turns out was not only one neutral wire wired to wrong part of the relay while I may or may not have been tired that morning
(🤷‍♀️😂😂😂)

It's basically a thermostat, that turns on lights for the load, and I had to draw the schematic too, so excuse the messy picture but I usually go with ladder and not connection like how some technicians have, so yeah not that laid back when I am used to the other schematics lol.

But turns out, the reason why the breaker flipped even with the switch off... is because the main neutral was touching the conduit because the wires were clamped down too hard

(The class joked about my lab partner saying there he is with the impact again 🤦‍♀😭😭😭)

My '79 Olds as you may know I have completely rewired under the hood- because one of the previous owners had a very hazardous wiring job, and while doing it- I got a relay hobby kit, because I wanted switched ignition power since, I wanted a dedicated source that wasn't involving using the fuse box or making a connection to accessories wire.

So I decided while I was wiring most of the engine bay- to make use of the HEI, for keyed power to turn on wire for the relay.

And it is a good thing I did, because I knew the old owners, method of getting accessories power would not be the proper way, and having it done where it makes adding extras is useful.
