RUST IN MY NEW OIL PAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I called them the guy was nice told me to email them through ebay since that is how it was bought.

I told them I did that already and attached two pics.

they said OK gives us a couple min to look at them and we will get back to you.

Get an email from them saying send pics.

Ok great lets the games begin....so I send the pics again

They email me back saying we need a pic of the entire pan so we can see exactly what part of the pan has the rust.

I email them back saying
What difference where the rust is. The pan is new and rusty I dont want it please exchange it for one that is undamaged

AND I send the pic of the entire pan with a nice big circle of the damaged area.

After that no more communication.

Does POR-15 work in oil soaked conditions? I understand that you can build a whole new car out of it. 😇

Seriously though that sucks.

I wouldnt use POR-15 if it was given to me free.

Foe the cost of it, that paint is garbage.

Looks to me like it was rusted before it was powder coated. Must have sat out in the rain at the Beijing powder coaters...

or they used it to cook their lunch in it first.

Maybe they haven't got back to you yet because they've been popping open boxes finding the same thing on all of them? Once they find one they'll let you know. 🙂

The mark on the pan is on the inside and will be exposed to oil. It will not affect the performance or durability of the pan.


Looks like it's claim filing time.
