Here is todays response

The mark on the pan is on the inside and will be exposed to oil. It will not affect the performance or durability of the pan.

that is not the point, the point is they sold you something other than what they described. Unless they informed you at point of sale that the pan may be damaged and contain rust they need to replace it or provide a refund...it was a new pan, not a kinda new pan

Looks like it's claim filing time.
I just removed that oil pan from " My Ebay ". Sorry you had to be the guinea pig on this one...

I called them said exactly what pontiacgp said

Got my return label from them and UPS has the package already.

May buy another one from another seller of may just get the Milodon 30765

Anyone running the Milodon??????

Not surprising with KMJ garbage. The old saying "get what ya pay for" really applies to them. Ironically enough I bought a KMJ oil pan for my 496 years ago and it rusted through the zinc coating while it sat on the stand. By then it was a year or so after I bought it so it was on me.

Also had a pair of chrome sbc valve covers from them that I'm not sure I made it a month before the chrome started flaking.

I bought there Olds valve cover gaskets with the steel core they are awesome.

So I figured i would try the pan.

I got a bad one. No harm its on the way back just a tad annoyed
