My how plans change! I dropped off the amphenol cable for the welder at Atlas and went to harbor freight this morning because I didn't want to go to the shop for tools. I started fixing the rotted hood I got the other day when a guy showed up to buy the taillights. Well when he seen the fenders he had to have them and offered me a perfect hood and driver's doors for them I told him throw in a right side window regulator and you have a deal. So I'm going to his house in a little bit. My buddy pat came by and fell in love with the bumpers and he gave me the nos back doors so.... There gone but he's helping me get a set of BBC heads for the build we're going Friday. Do any of you guys know what castings I should be looking for? I need closed chamber oval ports for what I'm doing so if one of you could give me some casting numbers that be great I'm big block Chevy illiterate!

That last post needed something like what Two Broke Girls had at the end of the epidsode, the cash counter, as it looks like you free deal is working for you. I have yet to have that kinda of luck flipping anything.
I'm still flipping parts! Lol I went to see the hood that Carlos had. .... JUNK! So instead I traded the 2 fenders for 2 rust free complete front doors and a chrome front bumper. Then I noticed the aluminum door panel insert for a passenger door panel sitting on his steps. And realized he had all the parts I was missing for a passenger door panel on another door and I got him to give me that hole door too. And it's repairable. I'm going to start fixing square body doors and selling them! LoL. Tomorrow the best 2 front doors I have are getting painted green! And dam the dents! I'll do the big ones and send it! It's a work truck anyway. Time to relax again this is my vacation you know

Another late start this hole vacation thing is really taking a toll on me lol got up at 8:30 and cleaned the pool....well kinda took some leaves out of it then realized it's supposed to be Lauren's job. So back to bodywork.
Today the name of the game was speed not accuracy! I was going to blow those doors apart and paint them but the more I looked at all the dents I just couldn't so I quickly picked out what I could
Then I buzzed the bad areas with 80 on the 6" da
Then I gave them a heavy coat of filler to make a nice even surface all the while jumping back and forth with the doors and hood
I mowed down the mud with my 8" da with 80
Then 150
That's when things went terribly wrong. The airline connecting the compressor to the tank let go and the sky looked like it would open up at any moment so I closed up my body shop best I could
All I had was some crummy firewood tarps and there not even big enough. Some day I will have a garage to do stuff right until then I'll get it done anyway I can.

Haha! I knew you wouldn't be able to run and gun over dents. I respect your decision. Hope to see some green soon.
Yeah it's just not in me. Even at work I fix dents that are prior unrelated damage. If it's a little wavy I'm ok with that I just couldn't paint over dents.

So it's pouring outside and I got the block out of the weather. I called my guy to try and get him to meet me there and he told me he left his swap meet trailer open so I put the block and all the parts in it.
As I mentioned before the landlord there is an old friend of mine and when I was out there the first time he saw I was using a harbor freight crane so he gave me a little something for the truck and I pick that up tonight while I was there.
Sorry the picture is blurry it was raining. And I had to unbolt the mount plate from a timberwolf wood processor. On the way out I stopped at his house to chat a minute and get some farm fresh eggs and he asked me if I needed 2 8 lug trailer rims. SCORE! Heck yeah I do one rim is curbed and has a bead leak but the tire is brand new they're both off brand new trailers the other one had a brake lock up the rim is perfect but the tire looks like somebody ground a hole in it I guess they slid it till it stopped. I must say even if I'm not getting a lot finished I'm making good progress with parts this week

Ive got 3 more days and I have to go back to work. I was thinking I really wanted to get more done than I did so I deleted my ads with items for sale so I stop running all over Jersey and buckle down first order of business today is paint a silver trailer rim white then hard line the compressor so I have air again. I have way more plans than that but if you've been following along you know what's going to happen to those plans.
