I was going to get back to you guys sooner but my keyboard on my phone wouldn't work had to have my wife fix it for me lol Lauren wasn't available.
The rag joint is good and there is no cover on it. I think it's more than one problem the factory rivets in the front crossmember of the frame are missing and the left rail is moving. Also I never changed the redneck engineering crap holding in the front differential and I think it's moving on the center pins. Besides that if you look back in the thread most front end components are only a year old I did everything but the box the pitman arm (witch doesn't wear out on these.) And one shackle bushing. There's no cracks in the rail I'm familiar with that scenario. I've done the repair without and with the kit many years ago. I do know my shake is all brakes and I'm working on the parts for that.

I'm wading through the Juggernaut thread at the moment. I've never been on a forum with so many hundred page multi year build threads.

Yeah, but not everybody is made of money or content to just throw things together slap-dash. These things take copious amounts of both.

Man, you should have been here for the 200 page Iowa Suburban.
Then again, whether you read one page, or the last, the end result was the same - a POS that couldn't be driven.

Actually, I think I went backwards - at the start it moved slightly under its own power. Probably $1500 lager it was literally a collection of parts.

It's not that. These builds are a lot more thorough. A bit of that is born of the necessity to separate the body from the frame to get everything clean. And the entire powertrain and driveline that needs swapped as opposed to building what's there in most cases. It's just a whole different animal with these cars.
